Models advertise another unusual late April cool surge end of this coming week. NPAC warm blob will migrate east. We'll likely see similar episodes of cool shots throughout the coming months and even into summer as El Nino tries to reconfigure the lingering -PDO north Pacific warmth into more +PDO territory.

Impressive rain event for Deep South Texas, with a lot of stations reporting 2"+ of rain.

The Force Field is breaking!

That total is coming from the airport (official reporting site), however many areas within Bexar County including parts of San Antonio proper received higher totals (3-5 inches over the past 72 hours). Even better much of that has fallen into the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone and so that's great news for us.

In addition, as South Texas Storms mentioned yesterday, the bulk of the heavier rain overnight fell across areas that missed out a few days ago and so everyone within the region has now benefited from this active pattern that looks to continue going forward into the upcoming week.

Rain seemed much more scattered than originally forecast, and the sun came out this afternoon, so DFW actually got up to 58F.

Not sure what's going on with the 18z NAMs and HRRR? They basically show no rain across Texas over the next 48-60hrs which is at odds with the forecast and the 18z GFS & RGEM.

Only a slight risk tomorrow or Wednesday. I hope to see some storms again. Been boring.

I think both days have some sleeper potential, but definitely Wednesday. NAM has favorable wind shear and sufficient cape for a hail and tornado threat on Wednesday, and if subsequent runs and models show a similar picture, I could see it going enhanced

How is it boring when a Slight Risk unleashed 13+ tornadoes over Oklahoma last week?

It mostly appears to me that most of the rain will be in Oklahoma over the next 7 days per the WPC.
