Hard to find all these little boundaries, but it looks like one already went north and is in Collin/Denton now.

Then, another maybe just south of DFW proper going north as well.

MD up for a possible watch for the DFW region. Hailers likely. Already a severe storm near Terrell.

Please no hail. But I will take any rain and I am liking the cool temps. Just 74 degrees at 1:40. If it stays cloudy we may not see 80.

2nd time today - they sounded them this morning in North Dallas for the storm that looked like it might dump some good hail on us.

GIven the setup and the way those first cells fired so early, I thought we might see some training setup.

There has been a consistent signal on the HRRR all day for some hailers to move through the metroplex overnight tonight. It did a great job yesterday of showing the left moving supercell that hit the Southern part of the metro yesterday evening & this morning's early morning storms. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

With the upcoming heat wave in the forecast for north Texas, thoughts on how long that pattern holds and longer term forecasts for heat? Not sure why, but I was expecting a below average summer.

According the forecasts last week, we were supposed to be 3 days into the 100°+ stretch right now, so I am considering everyday below 100° now as a win. Lets hope it continues to remain stagnant.

The past few days down here in southeast TX we've been about 4-5° below our forecasted highs.

The 00z Euro EPS backed off the heat for NTX some and is now only showing two days above 100F for DFW and, IMHO, it has a warm bias. It also shows rain chances returning as the ridge retrogrades towards the Baja. Would make sense with increasing signs of +ENSO. Unfortunately, it only helps us living up here on the northern periphery of the ridge, and Central and South Texas still get roasted.

By the way, what happened to the overnight storms that were in the forecast :grr:
