Re: Texas Fall 2023
Basically all of our 80-100% rain chances everyday have now turned into 30-40% chances, which I bet doesnt happen unfortunately.

Re: Texas Fall 2023
Picked up just over 3.6 inches over the last 5 days out in Shackelford County and hoping for more. Hopefully others that need it will be poured on soon.

Only 0.03" at DFW, but today would be the coolest day since May 21st if we don't climb another degree, so all is not lost.
Really happy to see so many other parts of the state get some beneficial rains. Dallas County's time will come.

Nice little rowdy storm late this afternoon at the Portastorm Weather Center. Dropped about 3/4” in 30 minutes. Small hail, lightning. I’m in the game!

0.06" yesterday and 0.43" so far today, although rain has ended. Not terrible, will help keep grass/plants recovering.
The 74F for yesterday's and today's high has been nice. Busted low from the forecast.

Re: Texas Fall 2023
Next week is screaming severe weather chances.

Even the SPC thinks so. (Mentioned before)

The pattern becomes
less amplified/more zonal across the CONUS on Tuesday with moisture
return into the southern Great Plains. Models show split flow over
the West evolving into a larger-scale trough potentially by midweek
next week. A more active pattern for severe may develop towards the
end of the extended period and focus over the Great Plains.

Re: Texas Fall 2023
I’m in San Diego but my station said I only got .12. Wow, major bust.
I did get 1.25 total, which is rather silly to complain about. Lol. Most in months and more than many northeast of me.

Have some storms moving in from the west this morning praying it makes it to the metroplex area.

I am doubting that 2nd part, there is a small cluster of storms with a northward component heading towards DFW

Happy for everyone getting some good rain. It's been mostly a swing and a miss at my house so far.
