I am. And I threw the towel in way early. I’m at 4-5”. I haven’t measured but just eyeballing flat surfaces. No drifting so this is an easy one to gauge. Big flakes.

Congrats, that’s awesome!

You're in the King Euro sweet spot...wouldn't be surprised if your area gets 10" plus amounts after the thump snow tonight!!

I’m happy for them. Hopefully us southern folks will have our shot later in the month.

Light sleet under the weaker returns and now mostly sleet with some snow mixed in as heavier returns move across Southern Collin County.

Well, picked a great day to drive to Norman from Memphis! Got in safely though a few minutes ago, already at 2-3 inches at my place. Pretty good for round one!

Yeah I'm at a little over 2, which is in the 2-4 range. I think this next batch has more sleet, and based on reports here, maybe freezing rain, ugh. Hopefully mostly sleet so it doesn't melt all the snow!

But honestly, this is a win after years of nothing.

I recall one promising storm that ended up just being sleet. It was crushing. So, I will take this.

This is just the appetizer, main course arriving later this evening! You may double those amounts with that evening round

That’s what drives me crazy. They updated the forecast to 1-3” while I’m looking at 5” and 3-5” tonight. I’ve learned my lesson but FWD was far too quick to go conservative. I did look at the HRRR model yesterday and the euro and I don’t think they thought it was possible.

Having work issues today unfortunately. Question, how does southern Dallas County look for snow tonight? It's been mostly sleet and now rain so far.

Yeah this is a pleasant one. If things keep up, it will be a top 3 event.

Snow in Texas, 8th wonder of the World

Don't use my posts as forecast; I'm not a licensed meteorologist! I just endorse cold weather, alright?

All observations I note are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Based on the latest model guidance, all of DFW should switch over to heavy snow as we move into the evening hours.
