Here is a decent blurb that may be helpful, especially towards the end ... https://blog.weather.us/what-is-the-dew-point/

It's getting a little more steady here. It's mostly snow grains so far.

Yeah those reports make me laugh sometimes because anyone can make a report that has access to the radar app. For example, you've got a few drizzle reports, a few freezing drizzle reports with temps above freezing (lol), but also a few sleet and a snow report all being reported within a 5-10 miles radius in north Houston within the last 5 minutes. Pick one? Lol

Need to go back to the old skywarn system where only certified/trained skywarn folks get to report. Use to be if you put out a false report you lost your certification/ability to report.

mPING is a good way to keep track of some of these reports.

I was just driving around Round Rock and Cedar Park. Temps back below freezing. It does have that moist feel outside in the air but nothing falling yet. At least here.

Am about 50 minutes north of you and getting some light snow/graupel. Barely visible unless you’re standing out there with hawk eyes lol

30° and dry in Far Northern Bexar County. This sucks. I need to find a city to move to where snow happens on the annual basis. Enough to be a treat, but not enough to be a nuisance.

Snow in Texas, 8th wonder of the World

Don't use my posts as forecast; I'm not a licensed meteorologist! I just endorse cold weather, alright?

All observations I note are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Sure does look more and more like the HRRR and RAP models are too dry this evening. They both don't have any signs of precip across central or north TX for the next few hours.
