Even the hypsters have stopped touting anything more for us here in the south. We had our winter and I cannot complain! 13” of snow was a true miracle!

The 18z GFS now shows light freezing rain here most of the day Wednesday. And has us now around or below freezing most of the day Wednesday and Thursday.

My old friend in southern New Hampshire is dreading the forecast. I'm super jealous, just like every year.

The EURO AI is onboard also. It shows a big winterstorm in NW Texas and Oklahoma most of Wednesday.

Cold rain for DFW. Rain is great but snow is greater. Hopefully the cold push really pushes. Fantastic cold up north.

Models are at least 10 F too warm, expecting frz precip line to shift significantly further southeast

I think you are right. It's a day by day model to model run situation. Sleet is welcome freezing rain can exit stage left.

All models and ensembles continue to trend colder each run. The air piling up in Montana early next week is the real deal, 40-50 deg F below normal, count on it to beat models 9 of 10 times

I’d be fine with ice as long as it doesn’t cause much damage or power outages.

Cpv17 even though Ice does suck for the most part, I will say it does look pretty cool when it comes to freezing water in fountains, we have a large water fountain in the entrance to our neighborhood, back in february 2021 it completely froze over, made for some really beautiful pictures!

0Z NAM is getting in range of next weeks system(s). It has freezing rain breaking out in west central Texas Monday morning at the end of the run. With the freezing line down to I-20 in NW Texas. That would be much earlier than what the global models are showing at the moment.
