Hopefully it doesn’t change and the signal for cold keeps growing.

The next round of cold won't likely arrive until the first or second week of March. By then our averages will be climbing quickly. Maybe a freeze down to the IH-10 corridor but I wouldn't expect anything much more severe than that right now.

I got down to 19°F before in early March.

My district going ahead with normal classes tomorrow. A little surprised no delay, but that doesn't happen much in DFW for some reason.

NAM still has some freezing rain threat for Friday evening into early Saturday morning across SC TX. Temps borderline freezing though so hopefully temps warm above by then.

I think that was the winter when the DFW area had 3 winter storms in a two week span to close out February and into March. 2013-14 was similar as well in the same time period if memory serves correctly

Basically a late Feb event in DFW that ended up as an early March event.

No joke. I consider anything until the end of March fair game.

2008 had two events in March in the same week some 6-10" fell in the northwest half of the metroplex towards the Red River. 2014 got really cold (16) and a sleet/snow event. 2015 is the fourth snowiest March with at least 3-4 ice/snow events late Feb-Mar with the big one on March 4-5. This was Brent's first winter here. Nuri blast got cold in November but then nada until late Feb '15.

2010 had a blizzard in Oklahoma and Arkansas, some backlash snow fell on the northeast part of the area where 5-9" surprise snow fell March 20-21.

No doubt, March has been good for North Texas the past couple of decades!

Several big snowfalls in Grayson County from the month of March, so I don’t give up hope until the end of the month.

Im becoming a little more interested in the friday time frame, NAM/ CMC RGEM models are breaking out freezing rain across south central texas, with the NAM even suggesting some light freezing rain makes it to western se texas counties, something to watch if temperatures are cold enough

Light snow and 18 degrees at North Texas Regional Airport.

Doesn’t make up for being out of town (in Indianapolis) back in early January when it snowed 8 inches at my house in Denison (it was 11 inches in nearby Knollwood!).

But you have to take what you can get, right? :froze: :D

It’s snowing at a pretty good clip at my place unfortunately it’s blowing so hard that it’s not really sticking well.

I read some of the DISD comments on X. They weren't pretty. Teenage end of the world type stuff with some vulgarity that made me blush. Kids these days.
