Will see.

06z CAMs give a bit more clarity, indicating a one-and-one squall line around midday/early afternoon (most likely from the current QLCS west of Wichita Falls).

Storms will likely be sub-severe though due to extensive cloud cover and surface temps only in the low/mid 70s. The messy storm mode should also keep tornado threat in check.

That said, with a decent amount of elevated instability, hail and flash flood threat still seems legit.

WPC is using very strong wording for the flash flood threat for DFW (life-threatening) through mid-afternoon, with 3-5"+ amounts and 2-3"/hr rainfall rates possible.

Flood Watch has been expanded to include all of the Metroplex as well.

I think the flood risk is pretty strong, it has started pouring.

A lot of rain to come as it is shifting south over the core.

I’m still flooded in,the water almost got inside last night. I am a bit concerned for flooding in DFW considering how slow the MCS is moving.Along with the heavy rainfall rates.

Tornado warning for NE Texas and adjacent Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Nothing on radar suggests DFW will escape flooding rains.

Very happy my landscaping gets a good soaking with minimal severe weather. 59F cool degrees too! Being on the southern end of flood watches to me seems like they overperform more times than not compared to being northern end of it. I guess moisture tends to choke when the MCS is to your south.

Hope you guys get in on it! Lots of opportunities it looks like.

Southern half of the state will get in on the rains next week as a low dropping out of canada becomes cut off over new mexico, that should provide some good opportunities for more rain further south in areas that need it, dont think the GFS is handeling next weeks system all that well though, of concern is the fact that models are pretty much showing the upper low next week almost stalling out for 5-6 days in west texas, The euro has been consistently showing this which is why it has much higher rain totals for most of the state, GFS starting to show this as well, for north texas folks, that is a pretty concerning setup given the flooding issues some have already seen in that area

Be safe down there if driving around. There is probably some ugly street flooding going on right now in DFW.

Been a couple of nice 5 minute streamer showers about a mile S of 1960 just off Imperial Valley, a mile or two W of the NW corner of IAH. A quick tenth or two. Hoping for more.

Probably best case for Dallas and Tarrant. It was always going to rain buckets but there’s no severe weather coming with it.

On the downside my trash bins might end up in Village Creek.

Very!! I was able to get the yardwork done just in time. As soon as I finished with the weed eater it started pouring. And it hasn't stopped.
