My understanding as a non-professional is that I think the main core of this will be east by that point. But, not sure. I am so horribly sorry to hear about this loss. I can't imagine, and I am just so sorry. My prayers and condolences.

It got down to 43 IMBY. Crazy how much warmer DFW was than here in west-central Tarrant. Basically 10 degrees warmer!

At this point I just want some air mixing. Air quality days in October is taking a toll.

Allergy season for me is always Feb-April. This fall season my allergies have been everyday. Nothing but dust and dry, crispy leaves in the backyard. Dust Bowl in October. Luckily tomorrow I will be in New England for several days in 50 degree air visiting Boston and New Hampshire for a fall break with my daughter. Much needed. Lived there when I was a child. Might be time to move there after gpsnowdaughter graduates.

Jealous. Boston is my favorite city I have ever visited. If I could move there, I would, though I would miss severe weather. My wife and I both love it. And the subway doesn’t smell unlike NYC…

Got back Saturday. Not a temp higher than 62 the entire time. Lows were in the upper 30s and lower 40s every morning during our time in New Hampshire. The foliage was hit or miss but better than north Texas has to offer. Overall a great trip and the daughter enjoyed it so mission accomplished. Back to Texas weather. End of October looks promising after the rain chances this weekend. Finally.

I think we’re about at the point of the year where hurricanes don’t really survive outside the Caribbean. The SSTs might be high enough further north, but the wind shear cranks up a lot higher and it tears them to pieces.

That's what I was thinking, it seems like it won't come anywhere close to the Gulf to be an issue, but just in case, I thought I would ask, lol.

That's what I was thinking, it seems like it won't come anywhere close to the Gulf to be an issue, but just in case, I thought I would ask, lol.

I will say I did see Mike Morgan talking about record highs after Halloween yesterday(cool Halloween then it warms back up)

I just think it's too late now the fronts are too frequent for any crazy warmth. Not to mention just beyond that I've been hearing talk of really cold air for awhile now. If it is it's probably a couple days before temps crash?

The Euro has nothing over 71 here in that timeframe

See some decent signs from the ENS the first part of November may feature an Aleutian trough, which is against typical Nina Aleutian ridge. Aleutian troughs is often a precursor to some cold moving southward, tied with a good +PNA. Eastern trough may prevail in the new month.

I was just looking at the historicals and a year ago this time it was 90 degrees and the record was 91, I guess this isn't that far off of the new normal as we thought.

Even I, a Summer girl to my core, am ready for some cozy weather, but not too cold, unless I am promised snow.

Amazingly our hottest Halloween ever was in 1950 at 87 degrees. Always makes me laugh when people talk about how it was never hot before.... And I've seen it a lot this month because it's been so warm relatively speaking(even this week the afternoons are a torch still). People act like it snows every Halloween here or something... I think we've had exactly one measure snow(1993) and someone said everything was basically cancelled that year anyway something else I found interesting about that winter was it never snowed again til March!! I think I'd rather take my chances later...

It's looking like we stay in the 60s this year with no rain or wind which ain't bad
