Virus

#1 Postby sunnyday » Wed Dec 10, 2003 4:27 pm

Does anyone have this yucky virus that is going around? Sore throat, earche, terrible body aches, etc. I am miserable! I hope none of you gets it, but it seems to be going around here. I'm in the middle of giving final exams, too, so the timing is not good.

Got it, fighting it. Taking tylenol for the fever, body aches, and sore throat and ear pain...echinacea just because people claim it fights it (although I should have been taking it before I got sick)...pseudophedrine for my nasal crap...and eating my turkey soup (I knew those turkey bones would come in handy) and drinking lots of tea with honey.

I hope you manage to knock it soon. Thankfully, I don't have finals to worry about and I have lots of sick time if I decide to stay home. I just want to kick this before I leave for the holiday...if not sooner.

I hope you both feel better soon. The doctor told me it lasts 7-10 days. I'm on day 7 and feel worse than before.

There is nothing you can do to help take away a virus. Only your body's natural fighters can get rid of it. The only thing you can do is take meds to help relieve the symptoms.

I hope you get better soon. I have friends who have it, but I usually do pretty well in avoiding these things.

I just went back to work today. I've been pretty well out of it since this past Friday. Rest, fluids and good drugs help! :-)

Brrrrrrrrrrfreakingrrrrrrrrrrr...it's worse when your apartment is cold and you can't breathe and your nose hurts because the air is dry and the cold air hurts it more and your throat hurts and it feels hot even though everything else is cold.

ARGH!!!!

I hate this part of it the most. I can't sleep because I'm breathing cold air. Can't bury my face in the blanket because then it's too hot and I'm breathing my own infected breath. So I just have to wait for the heater to do its job.
