5:30 PM EST to 7:30 PM EST: 1

This occurred over eastern Oklahoma. The 8:00 pm Eastern radar image showed a line of developing rain and thunderstorms across eastern Oklahoma moving into western Arkansas.

78.8% increase.

Line has grown in eastern and northeastern Oklahoma.
Strikes developed in western Missouri between 8:00 pm and 8:30 pm EST.

All activity during this period (11:30 pm Eastern to 2:00 am Eastern) was occurring in Arkansas.

There were no cloud-to-ground lightning strikes in the last 20 minute period (2:10 am Eastern to 2:30 am Eastern).

Thunderstorms were occurring across southern Texas and
more scattered activity over northern Mexico; southeast
of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

Activity was occurring across the western Gulf of Mexico, central and eastern portions of Louisiana and extreme southern Mississippi. Another area was across northern Mexico, south of southeastern Arizona.

The most concentrated lightning activity was moving into the central Gulf of Mexico (from the western Gulf).

Thunderstorms moving through the eastern Gulf of Mexico toward the Florida peninsula; in fact the easternmost portion is just off the "Big Bend" area of the state [Florida].

Another area of cloud to ground lightning strikes was located across extreme eastern Texas and extreme northwestern Louisiana, (as well as a bit of activity along the Arkansas/Louisiana border.

Many times there are obvioulsy "0"... depending on how I feel I indicate when there is only one or (obviously) "only several" to prove a point before and/or after a "thunderstorm outbreak" across the U.S.

and another smaller area across southwest-central Texas.

Lightning strikes were on the earlier side of this two hour period... mainly over Georgia... a couple others were located in New Mexico and Arizona.

Thunderstorm activity has been concentrated from the Columbia, South Carolina area southwestward to the Gulf of Mexico... south of the Florida panhandle.

Another, smaller area of lightning strikes were located off the Texas coast.

It appears that thunderstorms are developing, as lightning strikes begin to develop/redevelop in the eastern Gulf of Mexico like expected; this is indicative in northern and central Florida weather discussions and forecasts.
