Just read this on the local news website. I can't believe the animals that can kill their kids.
Brownsville Parents Charged In Childrens' Death
Bloody Victims' Bodies Found In Apartment

BROWNSVILLE, Texas -- A woman and her common-law husband each were charged Wednesday with three counts of capital murder in the deaths of their children, including a 1-year-old who was found decapitated and two siblings who had been stuffed in garbage bags.
No bond was set for Angela Camacho, 23, mother of all three children, or John Allen Rubio, 22, Camacho's common-law husband and father of the youngest child, Brownsville police Lt. Henry Etheridge said.
All three children were 5 or younger, the chief said.
Garcia said more information about the triple homicide would be disclosed at a news conference scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Garcia said a couple who walked into the apartment and found the bloody scene flagged down passing police officers. They were being interviewed by police.
Garcia said the children apparently had been dead since Monday night.
"A man came out of the apartment and told the officer, `Something happened here last night (Monday),"' Garcia said.
The chief said he didn't know whether the children were killed in the apartment or somewhere else, but he described a bloody, messy scene inside the apartment.
"They live in very poor conditions. There's clothes, trash, all sorts of things thrown all over. Very poor, very trashy ... in the worst conditions that anyone could live in in the United States," he said.
The body of the decapitated child was found on a bed in the one-bedroom apartment, Garcia said. The chief said he didn't know the condition of the two other bodies because the bags in which they had been bound were yet to be opened while police waited for an evidentiary search warrant.
About 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, a gurney was taken into the apartment. Minutes later, two of the children's bodies were brought out of the house on the gurney; an officer carried the body of a third child.
As midnight drew near Tuesday, a crowd of 200 to 300 people, many with their children, watched from behind the crime-scene tape as a Department of Public Safety mobile crime lab unit arrived and investigators wearing gloves moved into the apartment.
The family lived in the small apartment, one of 12 in what used to be a cinder block grocery store. The apartment is in a residential area about two blocks from the Cameron County Courthouse and across the street from the Brownsville Boys and Girls Club.
"It tears my heart. I want to cry. How can people do this?" said a neighbor, Nancy Garcia, 46. "There's help out there. I guess it's getting worse. People aren't taking care of their families."
Juan Hernandez, 39, said he and other neighbors had called police repeatedly about fights and beatings he heard coming from the apartment at night.
Amada Ybarra, who lives a block away, said, "It is frightening to know there are people like that so close to our family and our kids,"
Brownsville is on the Texas-Mexico border about 230 miles south of San Antonio

What truly horrible news.... and the above quote is so true. You hear of these terrible things and it is hard to believe there really are people who can do such things

Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm crying. This is so completely horrific. I have 3 children, 5 and younger, including a 1-year old and I look at them and cannot believe anyone could do this to babies!! Especially their own parents!! These people disgust me and deserve to die a slow, painful death! It literally makes me sick! Those poor innocent children depended on their parents for everything and this is what they get in return. It breaks my heart!!!
They should have killed themselves and left the children alone!!!

Absolutely revolting. The complete disregard for a human life, and children at that. It's amazing what goes on behind closed doors, and what people will hear and ignore...."not my problem" they will say.
I know this will piss off some...but every time I hear a story like this...I sit back and listen to the uproar, and it comes from both sides. I always wonder to myself how many of the shocked and horrified people crying out there over this, have also killed a child (albeit slightly less developed), yet will proclaim this an atrocity. Hmmmm??

Once again..Is everything to you about politics??? This has nothing to do with abortion yet you have to bring that up. This is an article about innocent kids murdered by sickos..Yet you have to use there deaths to shove Your view in our faces..If your so into politics..Run for office..This is getting annoying..We need a political views forum..so we all don't have to be subject to this IMHO..j wrote:Absolutely revolting. Interesting perspective J
I know that this is a touchy subject but I happen to agree J. I have a hard time rationalizing abortion for convienience reasons. When the life of the mother is in danger I accept that choices have to be made.
Rainband, I understand that this is an emotional issue but I think it's a fair observation. I consider myself a "liberal" Republican on a lot of social issues but I have a tough time with abortion. I personally believe that life begins with conception so therefore it's only consistent that I consider abortion the way I do. I also know a lot of Democrats that feel the same way.

Re: Interesting perspective J
Mf, I meant this topic had NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to do with abortion...j IMHO was taking the story and using it to promote issues or beliefs. I was trying to be respectful of those poor kids..not use this as a political platform..that was my point.mf_dolphin wrote:I know that this is a touchy subject but I happen to agree J. Unfortunately.......many people in America have been "de-sensitized" into thinking ANY BEHAVIOR IS ACCEPTABLE.
It is absolutely sickening that we see (or read about) horrific things happening all around us! We are quickly becoming a "Throw-Away Society".
Please know I'm not comparing the following story to this terrible occurance........but it WILL make you think.
Last weeks' paper had a front page picture and story about a mother dog found in a big cardboard box sheltering her 11 puppies. A family snowmobiling had noticed a big box near the woods for two days before realizing the movement indicated something inside. Temps for the entire week had plumeted down below zero for the entire week! We had several inches of snow on the ground. When investigating, they found a decimated mama dog and her 11 puppies! Someone had dropped them off in an out-of-the-way area. The dog warden was astonished the pups were alive! The poor mama dog was so skinny! She had kept those pups alive with every ounce of life she had. At the shelter, the pups are doing fine, but they are worried that the poor mama has lost her will to thrive. As you could imagine, there is a huge reward being offered for any info to get the person who did this.
I am always impressed at the care and nurturing given by species other than human.............p

I am completely disgusted by what these sickos did to their own children. It is horrific! I also feel the same disgust when mothers kill their own babies in the womb. In both cases, these are innocent children we're talking about who have a right to life. No matter which way the deaths occur, it's still an innocent life taken.
Rainband...
I'm not sure why you're so upset with j, but I think he was just pointing out how some people condemn these killings and yet they think that killing babies through abortion is ok.
Hey, I like the both of ya.

While I'm infuriated with the story itslef here, I wont start into all the whys and hows over this abortion thing as j has seemed to stay on over other posts. This is the very thing that made others mad as well and also caused too much friction amongst others here and over at TWC. While I have better things to do than to argue someone's points and opinions here, I will not subject myself to reading through some of these posts and remarks. While I tend to read all the posts here...some offend me but I say nothing. That abortion thing still haunts me and every time I see it, j, you are the one keeping it dragging on. Just let go of it...its out of your hands. To be pissed off over something like that is miniscule comapred to whats really going on in the world. Please dont bring it up again...its frivilous.

j....I dont know for the life of me why you dwell and make issues about abortion on a whim as you have done. Its unwarranted. I never said anything about it being miniscule...I was referring to the other twisted ways of little details you like to just blatently throw out there and a few here in this thread alone have not sided with you over it. I dont know why you like bringing it into the open since you KNOW where I stand on that crap. I dont appreciate it nor want to see it....so with that said....go on about your ways, but dont include me in your free time and crazed abortion issues.

j, I take back my apology!! How dare you attack one of our members!! Rob, for your information was in critical condition and almost died from his "snowblower incident".. For someone who has so much respect for human life...you seem to have no respect for humans...YOU MY FRIEND..JUST BLEW IT!! I have NO respect for you anymore!j wrote:miniscule????????? Great Rob.....you know what is miniscule? hearing about your snowblower incident, or your unfortuante eye problems, but to say that the issue of abortion is miniscule?? You just blew it man!

Thanks John...I wasnt trying to wage a war off-topic here, but I kept my cool as long as I could since this 'other' issue comes up too often. I'm off to posting elsewhere in the forums, so I just wanted to put that to bed for now and move on. Sorry everybody if I made a small mess here...wasnt my intention.
