Highs in the 80's here by midweek. And the Azaleia's are starting to bloom.

Dayton shines in the sun...
I dont know if I am just antsy or whatever, but the temps up here have been in the 50s and low 60s for about a week. Although we aren't even close to the widespread leaves and flowers yet (that comes up here by the last week of March and then lasts into April) but there are buds on the trees and bushes. Every time I walk by the trees to get into my home, I check out the buds, which- I think- because of the warm weather is opening a little early. We already have "daffs" coming up- but not open, and the Robins have been back for weeks. For the first time since last fall, Ohio is under a threat for severe thunderstorms this Thursday- so thats a sign that winter is fleeting!
I love winter, but this one wasn't that great for me. More brown than white makes me S.A.D. So I am looking forward to getting outside and enjoying what the city of Dayton has to offer this spring!
Woo hoo!
Bring on Daylight Savings Times, Spring Break, Pansies at Meijer, Easter, and WARM WEATHER!!!!

I wasn't really ready for spring yet but today the temps are near 80 for the first time this year and it's great! Grass is greening up and the azaelas are starting to bloom but still waiting on those trees. The thought of relaxing outside in the warmth by the pool alone makes me ready for warm weather. Like Jeb would say, BRING IT!

How does 85º sound to you? That was our high yesterday!!! Yes, the shots and tshirts were out!!! AND IT FELT GOOD!!!! We've "cooled off" today with the high only expected to be 70º!!
Yep, in Houston Spring has definitely sprung!! the only question is will we get another shot of "cold" or not?? I have no computers up at the house and limited time to peruse on line here so I haven't had a chance to look at models or posts and progs by others. My guess for us, though from what I am seeing so far is maybe one last shot into the 40's and that is about it for us in Houston.

Today is absolutely spectacular with a current temp of 66 degrees with deep blue skies. It will be cooling off at night this week though, looks like it could be in the low 40's tonight so don't put away those jackets. VB, I think we'll have one more front that drops us into the 30's before it's all over. I can remember seeing frost in April in years past so we still have a ways to go.

I remember 22º on March 20 or thereabouts one year here in Houston. But that has only occurred once in the 34 years I have lived here. I do believe we will have one more "cool down" before we beging our steady march into the upper reaches of the thermometer for summer. I'm not so sure we will see the 30's here in Houston, but low 40's is not a reach at all with some temps today in the mid to upper 40's in outlying areas.
