tim- I don't know if it was snoped but that website determine whether a claim was true or false?
Anyway, one gas station near my house HAD CONES on either side of the pumps. I've never seen them do that!
I think that even if we disrupt there business for a day or so it sends a message. The owners probably had to send some workers home (we're not self-serve in NJ) and tomorrow when they are swamped (if they are), they may need to bring in some extra help. That'll blow their minds.

Yup, it was already snoped.
Best thing I read was:

I'm sure the oil companies didn't suffer as much as the owners of the convenient stores and gas stations. If less people came to buy gas, then less people also came in for coffee, Pepsi, gum, lottery tickets, cigarettes, and beer. I'm sure if they really needed them, they went in or bought those items elsewhere.
Most convenient stores I know have only one or two employees at a time (if they're lucky - three). And since convenient stores are robbed more often than banks, I'd hate to see what losses they'd suffer if there were fewer employees manning the registers.

Best thing I read was:
...the only message being sent is: "We consumers are so desperate for gasoline that we can't even do without it for a few days to demonstrate our dissatisfaction with its cost." What supplier is going to respond to a message like that by lowering its prices?

Thanks Duck!
I can still see the disruption as a positive though for the consumer though. If we do that enough, then it may make the small station owners and convenience stores confront their suppliers.
The consumers are being inconvenienced, so it seems only fair.
Look, I know that net/net, the gasoline will still be sold, but hopefully the disruptions will catch their attention.
