Hey there Keirs!! I missed out on the chatroom by a couple of months, so I came in the door about the time everyone was going stir-crazy because it was gone.

I remember you were about to take a trip to see the Atlantic Ocean for the first time, I think. Could that be right, or was that someone else?

Hope you are doing ok. Still working second shift?

These kinds of reunions are always best. You remember each other the way we were...no extra pounds, no tired eyes...just that same group of friends who are still as important today as they were back then!!!

Steve - are you saying we were stir crazy or a little mad (as in crazy) back then? LOL Well, we were mad that chat was closed too. I remember just barely, if ever, glancing at TWC message boards. But once the chat room closed for good I missed my wx pals. The only place I knew I could find them would be the message boards, if they also had the bright idea to move 'the party' there. And thankfully they did. And once Cyclone started his 'just saying hi' threads, well, we were back in business again. Things change, people come and go in our lives and it is fun to reunite like this. I'm glad we have Storm2K now. Truly appreciative of this wonderful place.

Hey there Steve. Glad to here from you. Yes, that was me. I had never been to the beach before.. and I finally got to go. Haven't been back tho. haha I had a great time..

It was probably better you missed the chatroom by a couple of months b/c once you got involved and met all the wx fans there you would have went through what we all did.. It closed and it was hard not being able to chat with the same people you had talked to for so long. I joined chat there in 2000, met a lot of nice people there. It's nice we have Storm 2k now. I'm rarely on anymore tho. Too many things going on. Welp better run. P.S. Nice little grand-daughter you have there. Growing up fast. Take care.

I've been reunited with another long lost chatter....GRIMMY! She finally emailed me after about a year?! Infact, she was on her way to Merritt Island, (where I am til I leave) and 95 was closed, so she had to turn around and she's going to come see me tomorrow...YEAH! :O) Don'tcha just love your wx friends??!!

Hey there Grimmy!!! Another former TWC chat room survivor returning to the 'family'!!! Yeah....I remember you, didn't get to know you well though. Perhaps we'll remedy that here at Storm2K. I had the best day today! Grimmy came to visit here at my grandmothers and we had such a good visit. We sat by the pool, (me in it) Grimmy broke her ankle and couldn't get the cast thingy wet....then we went and ate at this great outdoor restaraunt with Chloe...just in time for Happy Hour

. Caught up on life, and drove to the Cocoa Bch pier, walked, shopped....and we went to Manatee Cove, by my grandmothers house, and watched manatees playing for about 45 mins. Its so cool! They are in the wild, and there was a momma with her nursing baby attached to her...they frolicked around....We both love nature, and these manatees were within 10 ft of us at the shore we were on...pretty cool! We spent the rest of the evening chatting by the pool...talked about old TWC friends and foe and life...a GOOD day! No storms tonight either!

I FINALLY fly home tomorrow, well into Vegas where we have a 2 day mini vacation with Brian! I miss him soooo much and can't wait to be reunited with him! 3 weeks away from a spouse is about 2 weeks too much! lol

So, I just wanted to add my little story to this thread, since it fits

Yep, had a great reunion with Fur and her family, I haven't seen them in about 2 years.....I thought her son was the pool boy....lol, he is soooooo grown up!!! This poor kid stood there looking at me, waiting for me to say "hello", and I thought he was the pool boy!!!! He must have grown at least 8"!!! What a cutie too...Fur's gonna have the girls calling her house. What a wonderful day, if not for my broken ankle, I would have jumped into the lagoon, and swam with the manatees...shhhh don't tell anybody, it is supposed to be illegal...but it's hard to resist touching those huge beautiful peaceful creatures. Well, it's been a long day ( a 4 hour drive...but worth it). Bye Furry....safe flight home, say hello to Brian, and get another phone line...lol

Grimmy/Fur - so glad you enjoyed your visit! I imagine for the rest of us that have never met, we may be a little envious!!! I still marvel at the fact that some of us on these boards have actually met. And well some are spouses too (MrsChad/Chad, etc.).

Anywho, can relate to the frustration you felt Grimmy about the ankle - I sprained my ankle 5 weeks ago. I tend to do this, have sprained both ankles at least a dozen times since I was in late 20s. I'm 49 now. Fell walking our dog this time, I was so mad I didn't see that rut on a walking trail....grrrr. Brace I had to wear came off the other day but it still doesn't feel 100%. Still walking carefully and looking down, not up. If I'm walking with someone, I never look at them. An ankle sprain/fx really sets you back! I also broke this same ankle 10 years ago, had a cast for 8 weeks that time (fell coming down our steps, trying to walk around dolls and toys). So complain away. Bummer that you did this over the summer too - another aspect I can sympathize with. With Fur gone for a bit more, pop in and get to know the rest of us here Grimmy! Lots of nice folks at Storm2K.

Fur - enjoy Vegas. What a whirlwind 3 weeks you've had!

I guess I'm a lucky duck that I have never broken anything...I've always been a dainty girl, and cautious, and lucky....lol. My biggest dilema as a kid was always having a sunburned and constant peeling nose, and a stubbed big toe from walking to the beach with no shoes on. That HURTS! lol And french fried soles bc I was too dumb to wear shoes on the hot pavement walk to the beach...lol.

Our trip in FL is quickly wrapping up...kids are in the pool, with myseld intermittedly in the pool, and packing and doing that last load of laundry...then I find more....lol.

I've never been so excited to see Brian in my life! Me thinks we'll have to loose the kids in Vegas for a while...hee hee Our arcade bill may be high....

Yes, Mary, its neat to form real life friendships/relationships from TWC days...I think I've been extremely lucky...I found the love of my life there, and a very dear forever friend...counting my blessings...

LOL, Linda...yep, that PS was specifically for you!

HUGS to everyone...please pray for our flight staff, maintnance crew and fellow passengers...we take off at 9:07pm est time tonight...
