sw caribbean flare up has a bit of twist but could be at mid levels. seems common to see these flare ups in this region, if it gets up into the nw caribbean without being sheared by upper level low w of caymans as its retrograding towards the west, a bit of upper level anticylone ususally develops which would more favorable for development.
