Does intensity affect direction
Could some of the more experienced mets, tell me if the strength of Bonnie will change the projected path and if so how? AS i see her intensifying this morn just based on sat. pics

Yes, it may even be why we are seeing her moving more westerly than expected. A deeper storm will erode ridges.

Thanks Dean I kinda knew that I guess just a little wishful thinking. Sure looks like your in her path, hope it's not another Opal but it is growing in size, out flow getting better, dry air reducing and warmer water ahead.

Well, the further West Bonnie goes, certainly raises the stakes further West! This is a small system, so the impact area will be very small, but, significant, IMO. I'm thinking more Alabama now with a track through Plaquemines Parish and maybe extreme eastern St. Bernard Parish in Louisiana before more of a pull NE to Alabama. But, as for now, Bonnie continues steady on to the W/NW...
