It's definitely got a closed wall, pressure 989 mb. It continues to strengthen and given the fact that it's slowing down, it may strengthen more rapidly overnight into tomorrow.

That is not the eye. The center is just wsw of the jamaican coast.

I agree with Jim..no eye just a break in the cold tops..the LLC is still west of the tip of Jamaica and SE of The Cayman ..imho

not the EYE the center is just to se at 18.0 N 79.2 W

Yep. The center is the little red blob that is rotating west of Jamaica and to the south of the break in convection. Seems Charlie is still headed WNW.

Sorry guys, you're right, that isn't the eye.

I still think I can see a lil circle figure in the cloud tops off of Jamica.

I got to assume though that we will begin to see the "fish" eye, "donut" shape on sat images within the next day or so, right?

It's directly under the eastern edge of the deep area of convection below that warm patch of clouds you're calling an eye.

If Charlie doesnt turn soon, it will go south of the Cayman Islands. It is already outside of the NHC's cone for movement at this hour, as their track would already have a turn occuring right now. For some reason I think that ULL is key to the track.
