Yeah, I was noticing this afternoon the progression of the UL high southward, but never really thought that would be a problem. The reason is that just before the UL trough to the west of it approaches, UL winds will veer from the south while the system moves NE. That will reduce the relative shear as the system moves in that direction...similar to Alex this year...except this one has less time over water. It looks like this will be enough to keep this from becoming any stronger than a tropical storm.
