Anyone ever hear of hurrevac 2000?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

hmm...the name itself sounds familier...but i dont think ive ever seen anything on it. Is it a gvmt program? or can it be accessed by the public? In the thing your friend showed you of Ivan...what part of the EC did it show it affecting?

gvmt program or not..anything attempting to predict that far out is pure speculation and guessing...if it was possible to really predict that far out then it would be a widely known and used program:)

**im not saying anythign against you...thanks for the wonderful information...i just dont want people reading this and thinking its for sure coming to the EC**

would be a interesting program to "play" with..to bad it cant be accessed by general public

I agree...far too early to tell where it is going, but it would be a fun program to play with......I'll check and see if the public can access it

I'm sure now or the next day models will diverge all over the place after 120 hr. One model will finally get the correct path due to random probability, and not due to the accuracy of the model.

It was right on the money w/ Frances because their data comes from the NHC. It is not an independent prediction model, but is based entirely on the NHC forecast. The NHC did VERY will w/ Frances track, even if it was too slow in the Bahamas.
