About half an hour ago,when they mentioned Ivan they said, "Believe it or not,Ivan can get stronger" :eek: :eek: :eek:

I hate to agree with TWC. but they're right.. My local mets said the same thing this morning..

No doubt is left now that Ivan will be as big a hurricane as Mitch was in 1998 (175mph),only this one is headed for the US :(

Perhaps, but at the moment he appears to be leveling off and cloud tops are warming.

Mitch was *extremely* impressive, and Ivan may indeed try to one-up him.

The SST's in the GOM are HIGH, higher than normal. I don't know why the NHC would even
worry about a lack of warm water for Ivan.
