I am interested in helping those in Granada, but I am not familiar with this site. Have you checked it out thoroughly? How can we find out if this is a legitimate organization?

It's legit, I am pretty sure
It was given to us by Gert from stormcarib.com
He has only listed on his site organizations he knows and chekced out I believe. He has an extensive network of people who are correspondents on his site.
Here is the link to the list
http://stormcarib.com/reports/2004/grenada_help.shtml

On the other hand, the CDERA.org latest update did state:
For residents in the United States, please coordinate all donations through the
Grenada Embassy:
1701 New Hampshire Ave., NW,
Washington DC 20009
Tel: (202) 265-2561
Fax: (202) 265-2468

That update also lists many other wyas peoplea re doanting and releif efforts are being coordinated.

I donated and thought about something. I respond to several different survey sites, some that pay per survey completion. I'm going to start donating that to the relief fund of the moment.
