Slowly merging...

Lisa is about to fizzle out (her circulation that is). The name? Well, the NHC has the final word...

So, 2.0/2.0 equates to 35 MPH, it's been persistent for the last 2 days, and with QS showing a closed circulation with 35 kt barbs, I see no reason why NHC won't upgrade. I really hope they do because Lisa is obviously on her deathbed, so we are running out of time to have 5 classified systems at one time.

This season has become surreal!

a) 3 hurricanes hit Florida - all were major at one time or another.
b) The first tropical system didn't appear until August.
c) The largest and worst storm, Ivan, has split himself in two and is about visit the Gulf, AGAIN!
d) Jeanne has been going around in circles.
e) NOW we have one tropical system absorbing the other like a Pac-Man game!

They should definitely upgrade 93L before merging her with it.
