Yes, I agree. The pro mets on this board have been exceptional this season. AirforceMet, Mike Watkins, Derek Ortt...have all been a source of knowledge and even comfort through out this ordeal, strictly speaking for myself.

Thanks guys. I really do appreciate you and the others on this board.

I want to thank them for coming through for all of us! And, of course, for tolerating all the questions. Thanks, y'all, for the great jobs all around!

I have to say, I am one of the hundreds of "newbies" on this board since this hurricane season. This board is a place I went to for information, news, "comfort", opinions, and everything else the last 6 weeks. Thank you to the forecasters for doing what you do best, thanks to the mods for keeping folks in check, and thanks to the owners for having such a wonderful site where those of us affected by so many storms this year could go to when we needed you most.

The times we had no power due to 3 hurricanes hitting our area .. here I was on dialup with my laptop battery to read what was on Storm2k. You folks helped me and the hubby get through -- what a great place. Thanks again!

I really feel uncomfortable replying in threads like this but I feel like I should...so I will.

Thanks...this place is truly great. It gives all of us an outlet for an area that interests all of us...I was honored that Chad and Marshall made me a part of the team...and I do my best to contribute. I know David wants me to post more updates and I promise I will.

It's an honor and a pleasure to exchange ideas with everyone here. And I do mean everyone...the diversity and difference of opinion is what makes this board the best there is.

Chad, Marshall, Luis, Linda, and the entire moderator and forecasting staff work very very hard to keep things going. I've gotten to know ALHurricane (Jason) and Windspeed (Matt) very well and they, as well as Derek and all of the other folks who put so much work into this board with little or no tangible reward. And of course Air Force Met who has contributed so much here and in our little radio program. Hard to mention everyone in one post...

Anyway...thanks Destruction5, and everyone else, for the nice words. I didn't expect that and it does mean a lot...I suppose a message like this is a tangible thing afterall.

Oh...and Destruction5...I sent your check out today.

I agree MWatkins has been this good for a long time now, even going back to the OTHER message Board. After I read the "official" information I always log on here to see what MWatkins has to say. I remember at one point he actually forecasted the wave that would eventually become Frances, while it was over Africa. WOW!!!! :D
