Salt Lake City police have recovered human remains in the landfill where authorities have been searching for the body of Lori Hacking.

Hacking needs to be hung and quartered for killing his wife. He was dishonest with her from the begining.

Shawn - I did a double take when I saw this topic was started by you too! That said I heard the news on the radio while in the car. I'm glad she was found, for her family's sake. Now they lay her to rest properly. How I wished she never married this guy though. Along with Laci. I wish both were alive today, rocking their babies. Well eventually Lori, but she was just beginning to enjoy her pregnancy when her husband killed her.

Laci's story was 1 of my top stories of last year.. This 1 of Lori could be 1 of mine for this year.. It's a little hard to believe that 2 pregnant women in such a short time were murdered.. probably both in brutal ways

I am sure (unfortunately) that there have been others across the United States in the last one to three years, we have never heard about.

This is exactly what Scott Peterson wants us to think - someone is out there trying to murder pregnant women. Maybe, maybe not. But I firmly believe both husbands killed their wives, and by doing so, their unborn children.

Both stories really hit home with me b/c I have 2 daughters. I just hope and pray they find decent guys to marry someday. I'm certainly not pushing it, since a man isn't the answer IMHO, nothing wrong with delaying marriage (direct result of my first disasterous marriage at age 20) but I deeply feel for both mothers. They both believed their daughters married good men! That's what is so sad to me - both Laci and Lori would be alive today had they left their husbands and raised their children as a single parent.

Bonnie - where are ya? I need back up!!!!

Shawn - thanks for pinch hitting for Bonnie!!! Should have known you'd agree too!!!

Just noticed the part of my post you uh, highlighted. LOL You crack me up!!! But it's so true, a guy isn't the answer. At least we agree with that statement but for different reasons, of course. :-)

Police have confirmed that the remains are those of Lori Hacking: the badly-decomposed body was identified by comparison to dental records. :grrr:
