Born in north central Illinois all the way back in 1946, my life is still unfolding in wonderful ways. I learn something new daily, smile as often as I can, make a point of saying something nice to someone before calling it a day, and thank God for helping me through my most challenging years (1967-1972) when I watched kids die in a tornado, lost my mom to a sudden illness, spent a year in Vietnam, and upon coming home married a wonderful lady who has since been with me for more than 32 years.

My passion for weather has opened some wonderful opportunities in my lifetime, but I have never ever worked as a paid meteorologist. My career is in printing. Still, the sky has brought me friends and acquaintances from around the world...and I am reminded often that umbrellas provide wonderful opportunities to meet new friends.

I have been lucky enough to meet hundreds...and I do mean hundreds...of weather fans in person during my time here on earth. People like Floyd Abell in Washington DC, like Larry Williams in Galveston, TX, like DJemima de Roos in Holland, and like Grant Goodge near Asheville, NC.. My life is better for having known them. My love of weather is stronger for having understood them.

I have lost friends and family to illness and tragedy. I have tried to make some good things happen, and failed. I have found good in the most distressing moments. Mostly, I have come to appreciate the value of every relationship...and every new sunrise.

Storm2k is in its formative years. It has been a wonderful haven for talk of weather and more. And while spirited discussions have led to argument and dismay, it remains a conduit full of life and promise.

It is larger than any one of us and that is good. We must all be part of something bigger than ourselves...and this is just one chance to do it.

Who I am is not nearly so important as who others around me become. And if I can be a small part of that process in a good and positive way, it is always good. If I can provide a tiny spot of light on the darkest of days, I try to do so.

OK, briefly - Annette - born in August 1962 in nearby
Columbia, TN. Grew up here in Summertown, where I
went to school. Married a FEW times - no kids. Lived
around this area, all my life. Now back in Summertown.
I'm a nurse, working in a neurology doc's office, in
Columbia. Traveled far, lived closeby. That's it...
...short, but sweet... ;)

OK I'll keep this short...

I'm Jeremy, born August 19th, 1985 in Hamilton, Ohio which is about a half hour drive north of Cincinnati. I was diagnosed with Spoina Bifida shortly after birth, which has left me in a wheelchair. I've been here in the Cincinnati area all of my life, and intend to remain at least in either Ohio or Kentucky where I currently reside. My dream is, and has been since the young age of 7, to be a television meteorologist and maybe someday replace my favorite met, Steve Horstmeyer, on the CBS station here. I am currently studying at Northern KY University in Highland Heights, KY(it's a small town about 5 minutes outside Cincy). That covers me well, I think.
