Guess what.. I MAY have found an apartment :)
I was going through my mail from the last few days yesterday and I noticed I had a packet from the "Simpson Ridge Apartments" on my desk..
I opened it just to see what was in it.. It had a floor plan and it showed how much each unit would cost if I decided to move there..
I would have to pay most of the bills because they cover water, sewers and trash as well as if I ever need an exterminator lol..
The rent for a studio is I believe 445 the flyer said.. I think, especially with my raise coming after 1/15.. I should save my $ and see if I can get in there..
They even sent me an application for a lease too.. I'm thinking about filling it out and then dropping it off too them sometime in December...
I have been told numerous times that since I would be by myself my bills would never get too high..
So.. I'm curious.. what do you guys think.. I think I should go for it..

There will always be bills that will surprise you, but as long as you adjust for any extra expenses and keep from going overboard on spending, it's doable. I live alone and my rent is 425/month plus electric, gas and internet. Gas tends to be high in the winter (80-100 bucks a month) but only because I have heating (which you obviously won't have) and electric is around 45 in the summer when my a/c is on constantly. I'm sure utilities will be quite a bit different for you but you can figure out about what they'll be (or get budget billing so that they're the same all year long).
