No change in pattern expected according to some FL discussions. At least for 2 weeks out of the year I can shut my AC off. Just vending from frustration. The water temps should be close to 80 degrees if this keeps up.

Well, at least if the winter sucks the SSTs will be nice and warm for cane season . Also, the weather has to balance itself out somehow, so it would be a good thing I guess if it got really hot. Then there probably would be a significant cold front(hopefully a hard freeze).

I don't think winter is over here. First of all, we got pretty cold early this year and I knew it wouldn't last. The pattern changed but it will change back and probably with a vengeance. Most of our cold is from Jan-March.

I don't know....down here if cold stuff doesn't happen in January or EARLY February, cold spells will be unlikely or sporadic in late February/March. Sometimes a couple nights in March can be a little chilly, but I wouldn't bet on anything major.

January is our coldest month...and I think our "January" happened already. Boca is right, according to the forecast discussions, there won't be any cold air around here for quite some time. My guess is it will be near the end of January before we get another decent cold front passage.

The Florida State Fair comes to Tampa late January, early February. Now statistically its 90% of the time nasty cold and windy or like last year when I almost had a heat stroke. I'm betting on one more shot of cold weather before it calls it quits.

This stinks!!!!! I have seen skeeters and no-seeums coming out again .............. BLAH, I'll just go sit and stare at my fire place for a while.. hey maybe I should just turn the a\c on even colder and invest in one of those "virtual" fire places.

If this keeps up its going to be blooming season 2 months early. I cannot recall any recent years it has been this warm for such an extended period of time. Things better cool down in late Jan or Feb or the SST's will be abnormally hot.

You can count on this:

Jacksonville is sitting mid to upper 70's for the next 2 weeks. Come Feburary 1st, a massive cold front will drop down, it will be 36F and Raining like a hurricane. Temps will be mid 30s for lows, to mid 40s for highs.

This front will last exactly 7 days, starting on Jan 31st and ending on Feb 7th.


This is my not-so-expert opinion!!!

Jacksonville is always SO much colder than us down here . I just want a return to 60's for highs and 40's for lows .
