I prefer the hiking myself and it sounds like you'll be doing lots of outdoor activities too Brent. Have fun skiing and being with your family.

Amazed the new puppy is going too!!! This should make for an interesting trip!!! Of course the baby should go......let us know how this all works out!

The puppy had to go... we're going to be gone 3 nights, she can't even be by herself for 5 minutes without yelling.

The BEST to other hotel guests on your floor!

Eric!!! You're so bad but I thought the same thing too!!! New baby, new puppy, a family on vacation. You watch, a bone weary traveling businessman will be put next to their room. LOL

Naw, what desk clerk would do that. Maybe the Griswald's would be a better choice? Yikes Brent, another hectic family might be placed next to you. More fun for all huh? :-)

Brent - yeah we are. Sorry, we'll behave. The trip sounds like a lot of fun. But when you said the new puppy was going, well, our minds naturally wandered in this direction. The new baby is a given but the pup put us over the edge.

Again, we'll be good now!!!! Most of all, have a great time.

Skiing is more than habit forming.... it's truly addictive. It is memories of being on a mountian with my family, like that "tourist shot" that made me put on skis again last week, after about 3 years. I just couldnt give it up, even after 2 knee surgeries and having to wear a monster brace to ski again. It gets in your blood, and the first good breath of cold air in the winter makes you long for the top of a mountain.

Definitely take a lesson or two. You need to know how to steer, stop and get up! Once you can do that, dont be afraid to leave the beginner hill. It is usually the most crowded place on the mountain. Go find a quiet easy trail to gain your confidence, away from the people who dont know how to stop or steer!

HAVE FUN!!!! IT'S A GREAT WAY FOR A FAMILY TO SPEND SOME TIME TOGETHER! :D

Here's a hint too. If you get the confidence to try a blue or black run look out for this guy as there is always at least one at every resort. He will be wearing blue jeans, a camouflage huntin' jacket, and a bright orange and red plaid wool hat with "Got Beer" embroidered on it. His skis will be permanently set into the wedge position and as soon as he takes off down the run, he will begin pumping the ski poles like paddles and screaming, "Gang way! Commin' through!".

Hint: Let him go first. Follow slowly and then tell the ski patrol at the base where you last saw him wrapped around a tree.
