While the models have been fip-flopping as to the specifics of the upcoming pattern change, one thing is for sure- the cold air is entering the north central states. The idea of a superfront with 100 degree differences across CONUS may not be too far from the truth as the -25 degree line is dropping into Montana and the 65 degree line poking up towards Tenn: 90 degree difference. Watch for many severe weather reports as this brute crosses to the east.

And to add fuel to the fire, the latest EURO is showing a 50/60 low, +PNA and a negative NAO at day 10. Interesting days ahead!
