Tom... on Saturday I bet the number of storm warnings was crazy. I know that Labette County in SE KS alone went under warnings 6 different times. :o

Sure was a busy severe weather day. We are just a third into Spring and then we have the hazy, hot and humid days of Summer for some more active thunderstorm days.

There have already been over 120 Weather Watch Boxes this year (first one[s] being issued on Friday, February 14th).

Does anyone know the average number of weather watches each year?

There have been 700+ weather watches a year. So, that would make an average of 2 or 3 watch boxes per day.
