70.6 degrees for a high today at my house!!
Took my parents to Ollalie State Park in North Bend to hike along the Snoqualmie river. You would have thought it was July.
The parking lot was packed and EVERYONE was wearing t-shirts and shorts. And sweating.
The river felt cool and refreshing.
So nice to be away from the fog and have warm weather from dawn to dusk!!

The weather got alot better in the late afternoon...currently clear skies with mild temps. Still, it was generally cloudy from noon to 2pm. Those high clouds stink!
Haven't looked at the extended. I just want this weather to continue. At any rate, I'm still wearing shorts this week! Shorts are alot more comfortable than jeans!

Currently 59F with clear skies.

TT...Your mention of Ollalie brings back big memories for me! Me and a friend of mine decided to hike up to the lake in April 1981. The weather had been so mild that there was no snow up there. That is until we showed up! That night we shivered in an inadequate tent that was sweating on the inside, and sleeping in inadequate sleeping bags. Talk about misery!
By morning there was a foot of snow on the ground, and an experienced hiker that was recovering from a broken leg guided us back down the mountain. Needless to say, my friend and I were humiliated by this time! After that we were forced to hitch hike back to North Bend, because our ride did not expect us to be down for another day...no cell phones then! A van full of hippies stopped to pick us up, and then we learned Reagan had just been shot. What an experience!
Anyway...the 18z continues to show a much weaker ridge building over us. The new twist is it shows a deep cold trough bearing down on us by the end of the run. We shall see!

Interesting note...
The latest NWS dicussion still mentions a strong ridge building at the end of next weekend. What model are they looking at? The last three runs of the GFS have shown almost no ridge. And I don't think the European or Canadian models go that far out. Hmmmm.

Currently 51F with filtered clouds. Not a bad day overall...thought it might be a little nicer, but not bad for the end of February!

A pretty nice day here over all. Just a few high clouds at times with a high temp of 60. Our low this morning was 31.

Interesting...the new ETA shows rain beginning by early morning, but the NWS says afternoon. Who will be right? I think we can all say goodbye to the recent amazing weather and get back to reality now! I will miss the endless string of cold nights, and most will miss the sunny mild days, but it's time move on. I sure hope the mountains can get some snow!
How amazing that the area TT was in today could be having snow by tomorrow morning. Things can sure change fast around here!

NOOOOOOOO!!!! Say it isn't so Snowwizard!!!
Oh well a nearly 3 week stretch of no precip is just amazing for us in Feb, and the fact I was out playing on the lake, and wearing shorts. Had to come to an end at some point

Another beautiful day...last one for awhile. But NWS meteorologists still suggest another dry pattern developing next weekend. Maybe they see something else in the GFS?! I'm a little sad this dry weather is coming to an end...it's gonna be weird to wake up and not see sun.
Well, back to 0 period tomorrow morning...damn, mid-winter break went by pretty quickly. Still can't believe I have to be up at 5am tomorrow morning. It's gonna suck!
As for the rest of the forecast, this week looks fairly wet...like I've said before, nothing amazing or worth writing home about, but a definite change from the past two, three weeks. As of now, Tuesday night looks like the wettest period. Actually, Wednesday might be a dry day if the next system digs south and amplifies a ridge over our region. We'll have to see.
I pray next weekend and the week after are sunny and warm. This weather just puts me in a great mood. I can't explain it. It's alot easier to wake up in the morning when it's sunny outside.
Not gonna say goodnite just yet...it's only 7:30pm...I might post once again later.

I know what you mean Anthony. There was that brightness weekend summer feel to today, even in the house. Hard to explain, but it just seemed different then what a normal sunny day in winter would be.
Like you Anthony I was also in a great mood all weekend, and the big thing is I have had tons of energy for the last couple of weeks, and I know its because of the sun!!

Currently 44.1 degrees as of 7:30PM
Awesome pics Andy!!

I wonder if we can squeeze one more freezing low temp out of this? We are already down to 45 with a dp of 34. If it stays clear for a long enough time we could. That would be 15 in a row, with a total of 20 for the month. Tomorrow could be a pretty chilly day if we get cold tonight and then the clouds move in over the top of it. That is especially true if the rain starts early. Could we see a high in the mid 40s? That would sure be a change!
