1 week away from May first, and we all know what that means! I'm excited about this hurricane season and I want to see some action in the gulf but hopefully nothing more than a TS :D .

:grr: Sorry, I don't join the "THE season is almost here party", I had enough last year!! I can deal with 10 days without a blow dryer...... I CAN'T deal with the never-ending weeks of " you're going to die, no, you're not going to die"... and on and on. I truely understand the need for as much advance warning as possible... but making landfall predictions so far out, makes for never ending tension. Anyone else agree???

I actually want to experience a hurricane, I never really have. Living in new jersey, the last storm that made an impact was Isabel with some strong gusts and a few branches snapped, but I really want to experience a real direct hurricane, but not a major hurricane, I'm not that crazy.

Well here we are one month before the 2005 season starts wow how time flys right?.This is the best time to prepare as prices for articules about preparation for hurricanes are not that high at this time. Also you dont want to be caught by the last minute rush if there is a threat during this season in your area. The best thing to do is to prepare for the worse but hope for the best.

Hey, thanks for posting those dates. It's all about to start, huh?

How long before the first Special Tropical Disturbance Statement is issued? One of those usually emerges during May.
