There's a great place in Daytona Beach Shores called the Crab Shanty that has a sign "Eat here, get crabs." They have incredible sauteed and steamed crab.

Our Catholic Youth Group sells stuffed crabs by the dozen and I try to buy several dozen every time they do....check with your local Catholic Church (don't know if your Catholic or not :)) they are usually trying to raise money for their mission trip about now.

CRAB CAKES!!!! I LOVE THEM!!!! If you want good crabs go to a crab feast in Baltimore. They are really delicious. I bet you can't eat just one. :D I love anything stuffed with crab too. Veal Oscar comes to mind, stuffed flounder is another. Oh, I have to go and find some crabs. I think shrimp is the closest I have at home. That won't work. Gotta go, gotta get some crabs. Where is SpongeBob when I need him.

There is also a dynamite place in Charleston SC. where the crab cakes are ALMOST as good a Maryland. NOT QUITE as good, but almost. :D

STOP, all of you. I am sorry I started this topic. Crab cakes are totally incompatible with the South Beach diet, and lowering one's LDL and Triglycerides :D

Mailorder?

#40 Postby Persepone » Sat May 14, 2005 9:45 am

Okay, who does mailorder (FedEx) crabcakes?

I love them--but the ones available in the freezer case are pretty nasty...

Sources? Recipes?
