Brandon has been wounded

#1 Postby sunny » Sat May 07, 2005 1:49 pm

He was shot in the left shoulder yesterday while on patrol in Baghdad. I got the call about three hours ago. His wound is not life threatening, and he will be okay. THANK GOD.

Cindy - oh your poor family right now and what they are going thru. I'm so glad Brandon will be okay. What a relief to know that! Will he recover over there and then go back to duty, or be shipped home now?

I must add my appreciation as well, please tell him we are grateful for his service to our country.

Thank you everyone.

Mary, he will recover in Baghdad. It is my understanding that he will finish his tour. Get this - HE WANTS TO STAY. His unit is stretched thin from the hit they took in January. I just sat there and held his baby SO TIGHT.

Thank God he wasn't seriously wounded and he'll be ok! Tell him thank you from me as well. He's risking his life for my freedom. That takes a special kind of person.

I am only sorry we didn't finish it in 91 for him, so he didn't have to. Those of us in Desert Storm could have, and I am proud of him.

Thank God it's not more serious than it is.

Please let him know that there are a lot of us back here praying for him and all his fellow soldiers.

We are so appreciative for the sacrifices of our men and women. Sometimes we forget about their sacrifice until we here about things like this. He is indeed a hero and thank God for protecting him. Prayers from Louisiana. And tell him Thanks for a job well done.

OMG Cindy!!! My heart sank when I read the title of the thread!!! Praise God that he will be okay!!!

He is so typical of all of the the heros that are still fighting for our freedom overseas!!! They would rather fight and stay than come home and leave their freinds to fend for themselves with one less person. Prasie God we have men and women in this country that feel like that.

Sending up prayers for a complete and quick recovery for him and for comfort for you and the family!!!

Please be sure he knows that we all appreciate what he is doing and sacrificing for us.

Sunny....so glad to hear he is ok. As a Vietnam combat veteran myself, I can't tell you how much respect I have for Brandon. May he make a full recovery and return home soon.
