Important Date Prior to June 1:

May 31=Dr Gray issues update hours before season starts.


Well guys it is getting closer and closer the start of hurricane season 2005.What it will bring in terms of numbers and landfalls?.The best thing to do is prepare for the worse and hope for the best.

We may be counting down to 0000z June 1, but the real kickoff, IMO, is at 5:30 AM ET. It's always exciting to see that first TWO of the season. :P

With SSTs as high as they are in the Caribbean, you may get your wish. It all depends on timing - a wave comes along over that warm water at a time when the upper air conditions are right and there's enough moisture around ... and pop!
