True or False ?

#1 Postby WaryEye » Thu Jul 14, 2005 9:34 pm

I am not that well versed in hurricane knowledge as of yet so I pose these questions to those of you that might have an idea....

Up here in Ohio last year we had maybe 3 days all summer that we reached 90 degrees or above. This year, if I add them all together so far, we have had about 3 weeks of 90 degrees or higher and next week is forecasted to be all 90's as well. * Is there any correlation between this and tropical activity? Any connection? Anyone else having weird weather where they live?

* In addition, I have heard before that an active tropical season indicates a bad winter for the Midwest? Is this true or just a crock? Last year was busy in the tropics and our winter was LONG... last snowfall was in the 3rd week of APRIL, we got an unexpected 4 inches!!

Responses are appreciated, thanks...
