Hi everyone!!! :D :D :D

I haven't been around much lately and I miss all you guys! (guys = guys/girls) I haven't had any spare time lately but things are finally settling down a little. I don't feel great today so I'll be taking it easy as much as possible. We've been doing a lot of work on our house...long hours, hard work, no pay!! Oh well, the house looks a lot better! :D

Unfortunately, I can't go back and read everything I've been missing over the last few weeks...I've posted and read a little occasionally. Anything major happen? :o

I hope everyone is doing great and I hope nobody from here was affected by all of the severe weather lately. It's been hot and dry here. (a tiny bit or rain night before last) We actually need rain here!! That's not normal.

Good evening everyone. I hope everyone had a good Thursday.

Those of us in Florida could certainly use it. It isn't that rare to be dry in early May, but we could sure use the rain and would be nice to see some "Floridian Thunderstorms." 8) :D

I had lunch at a Cracker Barrel for the first time, last October. The food was good.

There are only a couple in Massachusetts, north of Boston and the western part of the state, not one near where I used to live. There is one in New Hampshire and Rhode Island, too.

Hi southerngale! Welcome back :D

Have fun Amanzi! I bet all the rides that are air-conditioned are gonna be wicked crowded!

Coldfront - I'm sure the t-storm season will be upon you in no time. Right about the same time as hurricane season, huh? Just use the same countdown clock.

Another tornado watch here. I was hoping to get a good night's sleep tonight.

Hi all. Dennis is right, the West has been cold and damp for too long.

The severe wx is getting old. Yeah it's exciting to track, but the poor people in that area (Garrett, Bill, breeze, etc.) need a break and a chance to dry out and clean up.

Tomorrow is Friday! :D Yay! :D I can't wait! :D

Today was a good day at work - no a GREAT day. Very easy day. ;) That made me happy.

Make it an awesome Friday. Joshua

Aww, poor thing! :( Hope not.

Today was a very breezy and milder (thank Goodness :D ) day. The high hit 67.

I worked an hour and a half of overtime as was mentioned in another thread. This was necessitated because everyone else in the office had to go to a meeting. I need the $$$ though. :D

TGIF everyone! :D Have a happy Mother's Day and a great weekend. Joshua

Garrett...it is possible that your sister may be diagnosed with PTSS. In all actuality, what you guys went through a couple of days ago, will leave people heading towards their doctors office. Living through a car accident is one thing, but having a F2/3 tornado pass 1/4 miles from your house is another thing. She will return to her normal self one of these days...so don't force it. Just let her be herself.

This is a rare occasion...I'm on campus still...I have a class fieldtrip tomorrow for Environmental Geology. All I know is that we are leaving campus at 8am. Which is late for me...I'm usually up at 5:30am on Saturday's to be at work (Neenah-Menasha Y) by 6:15am. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone to take my teaching hours, so my boss is stepping in to cover my butt! I already owe him bigtime...and this will only add to the pile of things to do to make him satisfied. I called him today and he jokingly asked if my fieldtrip was still on due to the possible thunderstorms, and I said yup. He's like darn. He knows that the semester is rapidly coming to an end...so he's like... please pick up subbing hours, which will make that mile long list of things to do to pay him back shorter. I know the NMY pretty well and so, doing office work will also help deter that list.

It was extremely cloudy today...nothing to interesting. But, on the flip side...EXTREMELY WINDY! Yes, sustained gusts were around 40mph! I needed rocks in my pockets to hold me from blowing away.

I'm glad the project is done!!! No more digging for information. Thank goodness!!! It was a beast to do, but I learned alot about the Water Transfer in the Great Lakes. (Environmental Geology class)

Monday is the ONLY day left of classes! Yes, I'm serious...then midterms start up :( :o :o If I'm quiet for long periods of time...I probably have my internet disconnected that way I will not be disturbed. So, bare with me...for the next couple of days...I may be a little stubborn due to the high amounts of stress levels.

Time to relax so hopefully, this headache will go away :o

Garrett, just take care of little Sis, and watch and listen to her, ok?
She'll never forget, but, time will allow her to return to a somewhat
"normal" state of being.

Ya'll enjoy Friday night....'ole breeze is lookin' forward to
snoozin' late, tomorrow, after the week we've had down here!

Another INCREDIBLE night of SEVERE WEATHER in OK, KS and MO!!! It really is getting old fast!!! I continue praying for all those affected!!!

Garrett, if I were in your or your sisters shoes I fear I would be way past PTSS-I would be definite looney bin material!!! All of y ou need to work through your feelings after such traumatic experiences. I'm throwing some extra prayers on the prayer chain for ya!! Lots of praying to do for lots of wonderful people!!!

Joshua, you're becoming a workaholicc I think!!  I swear you are just getting off work everytime you post!! That extra money makes for extra fun!!

Dennis, I'm sening boulders for your pockets and snowshoes for the start of summer for ya!! Oh yeah and some air packs in case the fire gets any closer!! Man of man, the weather is out of control all over!!!

Unformtunately the Saturday Hou/Gal get together doesn't look like it will happen. Just too many variables, but we are working towards attending the Hurricane Conference on May 28th and getting together to eat too!!

Can you believe it? Project No. w may be finished within the week!! Yep the majority of the work in the main bathroom is done. Now the final painting and touch up and putting up a new(old cut down in size)mirror is about all that is not done.

Well, this puppy is falling aslee...ZZZZZZzzzzzzzz

Dang David, That's a shame that the get together isn't working out. It sounded like a blast!

Garrett - I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. That's an incredibly frightening experience for any adult, but in a child's mind it's overwhelming. I pray that she is comforted through this difficult time.

Good night wx friends.

Sorry to hear about your sister, Garrett. I hope she gets out of her current state very soon. Quite a few years between the two of you... not trying to get too personal. Just a friendly observation.

Hopefully the thunderstorms that have been added to my areas forecast will remain and I will see some the much needed rainfall. I knew that this upper level high pressure system in the Gulf of Mexico couldn't hang tough that long and not move much, it couldn't even move eastward, across the peninsula.

The frontal system should begin its southeastward progress sooner, rather than later... as it weakens. Being a formidable weather maker, hopefully the weakening of the front hopefully won't cause the feature to lose its moisture as it moves toward Florida.

Have a great Saturday! :)

Good Morning!

And a FINE ONE it is at that 8-) WHY? NO WIND After 5-6 weeks STRAIGHT of wind, I won't know how to act! BUT and that's a BIG BUT :P It's colder than a well diggers @$$, sitting at 20.4° at 0550 MST, so much for my fruit trees

Garrett, I'm so sorry to hear about your sis! I can't even begin to imagine have to deal with the threat of severe weather day after day after day! I spent a lot of time on my grandfathers farm in the PanHandle of Texas growing up, spent MANY a night in the storm cellar, that was enough for me thank you! PLEASE keep us posted as to her condition!

I am SOOO jazzed about no wind 8-) I have no idea what's on the schedule for today, I've been stuck inside for sooooo long :D We MAY go to the VLA'S today, we try and go every 3 months, that's when they reconfigure the antennas. The VLA'S, for those of you who do not know what that is, they are the antennas at the Plains of St. Augustine in New Mexico, the sight for the movie *Contact*, it's the worlds largest radio telescope  FASCINATING place indeed! The VLA'S are a 2 hour drive to my east.

Make it a GREAT day would ya? Hmmm, now what? Should I mow the lawn, sit out on the patio with my coffee, I don't know, the winds not blowing, so many things to do, so little time!

Dennis 8-)

Thanks everyone! :) She is doing all right, but the constant threat of storms this past week has been too much for her I think.

As I am typing this, we have recently gone under a PDS Tornado Watch until 7 p.m. Not fun in the least!

Have a great weekend,
Garrett :multi:

Wow Dennis, I'll say it's cold there! It is in the low to mid 90s here in central Florida. Back where I am from (southeastern Massachusetts) it is in the upper 60s, near 70.

I am glad to hear about your sister, Garrett. The storm system is expected to move southeastward, still hasn't shown clear signs of doing so yet, this morning into the afternoon.

Have a good Saturday afternoon everyone. :)

Hope you don't get hit (again), Garrett. That would be most unfortunate.

Hope you all have a great Saturday. I'm glad I figured out another computer problem. My comp was hanging on shutdown. It turns out that one of my most-desired programs, my spam blocker one, was causing it. :( At least I know what it is now. :D

I was busy last night until 2:30, maybe almost 3, helping a friend track some severe wx in his area and talking to a chatterbot named Alan. I'll post a thread on him soon. He's pretty interesting.

Have a great Saturday. Joshua
