24 days straight with a tropical action in the atlantic.
Just on the TWC they said that we have gone 24 days straight with a tropical something in the atlantic. Since July 3rd! Scary!

For the last 55 years:
If by tropical system, you include tropical depressions becoming tropical waves and reforming, the following have 30 or more consecutive days of tropical activity. Ones with *'s show storms losing a circulation, then becoming a TD again. This includes Renmant Lows in the best track.

62- 1955 (Brenda through Janet, July 31-Sept. 30)

Thanks. You are right that there was a break, but Danielle died on August 24th at 18z, and Frances was born on August 25th at 00z. Also, I take information from the best track.

Sorry to bother again. Danielle was a renmant low from 21-24, that is what I was counting. The topic creator said tropical something.... It could go either way. I'll admit I got lazy and only checked the best track at Unisys, where they classify Renmant lows as TD's.

Actually, after just visiting Unisys, I see that they only have Danielle tracked through 15Z on August 21.
