They are sensing the trof. Claudette is moving faster and will be east of the trof axis instead of west. However, the trof will pull out and leave her stranded...it is really a matter of where she gets stranded...how far north and west. If she moves fast enough...she will slow as the trof passes her and then continue to slide west into Mexico. I think she will slow some in the next day or day and a half. Then she will move more NW. It is possible she could catch the trof but I don't think it will be far enough south. The question is "does a piece of the trof break off and slie SW into the GOM?" If so...then the northern and NE GOm are players.
