For this area that is the biggest weather indicator and it's accurate every year. Once the mesquite trees bloom you know winter is completely done.

I had not noticed that yet.

From the snowy side... oh hands down, no debate, worst winter ever
From the unexpected side... this winter was a shocker. I at least expected it to rain a lot... the cold was always a question but I never envisioned THIS warm.
But on the flip side... at least I didn't spend half the winter just wishing it had been 2 degrees colder like a lot of last winter(save the last 2 weeks), or chasing snow threats a week out that never verified(there were a couple but they never lasted more than a model run basically)... and I've kind of enjoyed the 60s/near 70 lol. Oh help... I'm turning into wxman57.
