It's colder in Mississippi than in Fairbanks, Alaska ...

it's 37 F in Fairbanks, and 34 at my home in Mississippi. Not too often you see that happen in February, or anytime for that matter. This is really an odd winter- it was 45 below in Fairbanks a week or so ago.

Does the warm weather in Fairbanks indicate that the supply of Arctic air is running low?

no. actually warming in Alaska is a good sign of cold heading towards the US. The warmth in Alaska is due to a strong ridge which helps pull a strong trough down into the US. This next weekend looks like it may be even colder than this weekend. Latest models are showing a 1056mb+ high coming down from Canada (stronger than the current high) and the air in Canada is expected to be VERY cold at the time. The result may be a much colder airmass than what we are seeing now.

Geez, next weekend could be colder?? This weekend it looks like 0 degree 850 temps will cover much of Florida, if not clear it according to the 18z GFS. Can't imagine any colder....

Well as of now it is still 6-7 days out, so it is not a definite yet...BUT temperatures in canada will be colder than they are now and the high pressure coming out of Canada may be stronger. These two factors could lead to a huge outbreak of cold air. The location of the most direct hit of the cold air is still a little unknown though. Just something else to watch...
