Snow Rollers

#1 Postby Cookiely » Thu Feb 16, 2006 5:22 pm

Has anyone ever seen "snow rollers" forming? Being from the south the only thing I can picture in my mind is something like a tumble weed blowing across the desert. God's own personal snowball.

I've seen 'em once in the flat cornfields of Indiana...a couple of years ago. They aren't really that common because the conditions to form them are so rare. Very cool, though.

HAHA - I just realized those are from the same event as the ones I saw. Wow.

Those are neat, just like a snow tumble weed. I never knew that could happen, but then again I am from warm Florida. :bday: Thanks for sharing the cool info. :D
