slow moving squall line

#1 Postby pawlee » Thu Nov 30, 2006 3:03 am

took time wednesday afternoon to head out for pics on what i thought might be worthwhile opportunity as seen on radar around 2:30PM. ended up heading N of Decatur IL into in S. Piatt county on what was a squall line moving at a snails pace. nothing remotely strong or severe but offered interesting perspective from up underneath. calling it the "last hurrah" for the season, seems to mark the beginning of our grand entrance into winter...

Sometimes I wish we saw squall lines like that here. They're so cool!

Nice piccies!

I've seen squall lines like that here in Ms too, especially along the "Dixie Alley". Unfortunately the last few squall lines have come through at night, so its hard to see them.
