Chasing a Winter Storm... (pics)

#1 Postby Johnny » Sun Mar 09, 2008 10:54 am

I've been a member of this forum since 2003 and during this time, we have had a lot of winter discussions for us Southeast, Texas members. Besides the snow of 2004, we have been let down so many times hoping to see some flakes fall from the air. I decided that it's kind of silly to be sititng here at home waiting on a good snow so I figured hitting the road would be the best thing to do if I ever wanted to see any. :cheesy:

This past Thursday, the family and I headed north of Dallas hoping to see some snow and we were not disappointed. I'll let the pictures do the talking. Enjoy!!!

Awesome pics, Johnny. I think I'll have to do something like that one day if I ever want to see something besides flurries. Even the great south snow of 2004 dissed me. I got enough to make a snowball about the size of a dime, and that wasn't very easy.

Since it was Christmas and we already had plans here, traveling even a short distance was out. The light snow falling was still pretty, but I want to play in the snow like you guys. Now tell me again... WHY didn't y'all pick me up on the way? :P
