TD 19..................Has it Affected the Analogs?

Do you think that fact that TD19 has now fromed in the east atlantic will change any of the analogs for this winter?

Well, IMHO, 2003 looks more like a stand-alone year.

A lot of crazy records being set this year and no real clear cut signals - JMHO.

19 tropical depressions.
13 storms (possibly Nicklaus by tomorrow evening)

Record number of tornadoes for a month in May.

Earliest tropical depression for so far east back in late June.
Possibly the latest tropical depression for so far east currently.

Ana in April

I agree with SF. If anything, TD 19 forming so far east is making this year more unique. I don't think there are any true analogs, which is why I feel this upcoming winter will be very interesting.
