Thought this may be of help... WREL utilizes mesonet to render a VA temp map. As it updates ~15 minutes I've found it a good tool for monitoring CAD along the Apps and Blue Ridge.

Blocks display temp and if you scroll over any temperature value you'll get a pop-up with current conditions. DP, RH, SLP and wind all are helpful to watch.
