Nice............but you need to drop that horrific word, "warm" and replace it with, "turning bitter cold". Warm weather is not needed or desired in January. Bring on that frigid Siberian cold and heavy crippling snow!!!

This statement would sound great over the "synthesizer voice" on NOAA Weather Radio. Too bad it was/is an Area Forecast Discussion.

This, honestly, is one of the best AFD's that I've ever seen FFC issue. Usually they are very bland and lacking detailed technical info. Kudos to the met who wrote the imaginative AFD issued this morning.

LOL If it were over the radio synthesizer I'd be a little worried.. The voices on the Noaa radio are a bit funny to listen too lol

Ah...what a fun AFD!

We used to do stuff like that all the time....but you know the times, where you get your hand slapped at the drop of a hat. I hope that this forecaster doesn't face the wrath of the higher-ups.

Back in the days of the teletype, I heard that the teletype writers had special "tapes" (that would run through machine to send the message) for Christmas...with some very creative artwork. No more "fun" like that anymore, sigh.

Take care, and hope all had a pleasant holiday.
