I'm sorry, maybe I am misreading map, but I see a HIGH off the EC and another over the Dakotas, ....are these conducive to a cold and snowy period?

I see a low moving up the east coast that should help produce the snow event.

With the highs in place will also help produce the event.

If I am wrong with what I said........then let the experts on this
board correct me. :)

But it sure does look like a snow event is on the way for the Northeast.

just checked latest 15 outlook by accuweather.com, has 27.9 inches of snow for philly jan9th to 11th, with high winds, so a all out blizzard. Wont happen of course, but would be nice.

AccuWX, just like the GFS, must be taken with a grain of salt for medium range forecasting and especially past 7 days. Seriously...AccuWeather 15-day forecasts are pretty much useless without looking at other model and ensemble data to see where the heck they're coming from.

Just my two cents...

Agreed...AccuWeather is crap and shouldn't be used past 7 days whatsoever.

Those dates on AccuWeather will be:

Mostly Sunny
H 45 L 20

In a few days...
