So, a Winter Wx Advisory is in affect... so what? I'm on the most southern edge of it. Winter Storm Warnings to my north. If you see my avatar, you can see snow going up into Nebraska... they say it will increase in coverage across NE Kansas... maybe that's true.... but the way I see it now... another missed chance for Topeka. Actually, there is snow(or rain) in Wichita right now too! We have this puny little line of whatever it is.. probably fall apart before it gets here.

Don't dispair-It looks like things are just geting going-I realize we aren't going to get much (we never do!!), but it looks like we will get something-hey, this mornings NWS discussion had us lit. getting nothing-I'm amazed they've upgraded us-the last Winter Weather Adv. I had here, I got 4 inches of snow!!! We'll see what happens-some day we will be in the Bulls eye-I might be 60, but we will get it. Anyway, enjoy the next three days-mets here in Lawrence have us back in the 50's by mid week. Maybe the storm will track further south

One thing: The Low is still in the Texas Pan Handle-but man alot of precip. is igniting to our North and South-I guess you're right-our Dry Slot just won't break down!!!
It stands to reason that if some of the snow is going to your north, then the snow forming to your south will move north right over you! So with the storm still down in the TX Panhandle, you may still get a few inches from it.

The NWS discussion mentioned thunderstorms to our south-but with our surface temps. below freezing, I would think we will see ice before it changes to snow-as seems to happen (just like the major ice storm in 2002 when I lived in KC) our temps. at 750 always seem to be too warm-it looks like we will see quite a period of freezing drizzle-my last comment on the radar was abit pre mature-it has been so dry, it will take a while to saturate our air-well, we'll wait and see-they are talking about the Low tracking through Northern Ark. and it seemed the last NWS discussion wasn't so sure on this storm-may be a bit worse for us than originally thought-a low tracking through Arkansas is much better for us than Central Missouri-
By the way, KU actually hit a shot beyond 5' last night!!!

Hey Jeb:
Thanks for the kind words-I'm actually about 30 miles East of David in Lawrence-We are looking at getting some pretty heavy precp. and my temp. is now 29 (not Jeb walk temps. I know-but I'll take it!!) only thing, we have been fighting a North East wind all day and you could see on the radar how it dried up a lot of precip. trying for our area-now all I have to do is wait-have a great night.

Twenty nine degrees is fine for a winter jebwalk
Despite that NE wind you mentioned, I still believe that with all the precip developing to you and David's west and especially SW, some of it is bound to overspread your location and you will pile up a few inches of precious snow
I am praying for that weather system to give you a few inches and maybe slow down........that would help you folks out in the snow department!
You guys are way overdue------This system should at least give you 3 if not 6 inches of snow overnight. If only it would slow down, and a little colder air moved in............I would love it if you ended up getting hammered but good!!!!

Thanks!! Hey, sleet is better than rain and 38!!! I think this storm has tricked everyone a bit-I don't think anyone thought the precip would be this heavy this early-Jeb is right-if this thing could just slow down and go till Sunday Night, we could have something!!!! Have a great night!!!
